about

A solo project by Daniel Englisch and an ode to Human space exploration. The album is made up in Chronological order of Human space flight starting from 1961 towards todays missions and beyond.
All sounds were created with the ultra rare (and faulty) Crumar Compac Synth, build in 1973 / '74. Drums: all one shot analog samples and a Roland TR-606 drum computer.
The music was recorded live in one week and an extra bonus track was created with Dennis Matana while he was repairing the synth during the final stages of tweaking, mixing and mastering.
A special thanks goes out to Roland Voortman (Dutch composer) who used this beautiful, but eerily haunted synth in many productions in the 70's/80's.
